Costs
Cost of goods is the one input the marketplace cannot tell us. Fees, refunds, and ad spend all arrive from the channel, but what you paid for a unit is yours alone — so until a cost is set, profit is really just revenue minus marketplace charges.
Getting costs in is the single highest-value thing you can do to make every profit figure in the product real.
What is COGS?
COGS (cost of goods sold) is what you paid for a unit — including inbound shipping, duties, and per-unit fees.
