Find your suppliers in your bank lines
Payees you have paid more than once are grouped from your imported bank lines, so suppliers exist without typing them. Spellings of one payee (the same UPI handle, or a name that differs only by "Pvt Ltd") are grouped by the app; names that merely look alike are judged by the AI in the background and offered as a suggestion you tick or leave.
Payees you pay again and again are grouped for you. Create a supplier from one, or link it to a supplier you have, and every payment to it is tagged.
Steps
-
Open Bank transactions and choose Review suppliers in the notice, or Suppliers in your bank lines on Suppliers.
-
For each payee, choose Add supplier. Tick the suggested merge when two names are the same business.
-
Pick the account its payments usually go to, so later payments are tagged and wait for you to post.
-
Choose Not a supplier for rent, family transfers and the like.
Check it worked
The supplier's lines on Bank transactions show it as the payee, and the account register shows it beside the account. If you picked an account, a rule named "Paid to" the supplier is on Categorization rules: a later payment is tagged with the supplier when it arrives, and waits for you to post it. Payees you marked Not a supplier are not listed again.
