Check your marketplace settlements

When a marketplace settlement report arrives, each settlement in it posts one journal entry: its sales, fees and other lines on their posting accounts, and the payout on Clearing.

Each marketplace settlement posts to your books on its own. A settlement that does not add up to its payout waits for you instead.

Before you start

• Set up your chart of accounts

Steps

1. Open Journal entries under Accounting and choose the Settlement postings tab to see every settlement and whether it posted.

   Open in the app

2. Open the Needs attention tab, then a settlement, to see why it did not post.

3. Fix what the row names, with the marketplace or by waiting for the exchange rate; it posts the next time its report arrives.

Check it worked

A posted settlement shows the Posted status and links to the journal entry it booked. One that needs attention posted nothing, and its row says why: the gap between its payout and its lines, the exchange rate it is waiting for, or the data the marketplace did not send.
