Find the products that are distorting your profit
When a profit figure looks wrong, it is usually a small number of products doing the damage — a missing cost, an unlinked listing, a fee the marketplace has not reported yet. Fix your numbers finds them for you rather than leaving you to search.
Work the list
- Press ⌘K and search for Fix your numbers.
- Each item names what is wrong and how much profit it is affecting, so the expensive problems sort themselves to the top.
- Open an item to go straight to the product, listing or setting that needs the change.
What it looks for
- Products with no cost — their sales report the full sale price as profit.
- Listings not linked to a product — their sales carry no cost and sit outside the reports.
- Orders whose fees have not settled — nothing is wrong here yet; the figure will firm up on its own once the marketplace reports.
The first two you fix. The third is the report telling you how much of the number is still provisional, which is what Profit basis explains.
After you have worked through it
Go to Settings → Costs and pricing and click Recalculate profit to apply cost changes to orders that were already priced. You can preview what will change before committing.
